Closure of the western Suurhoffbrug affects road access to the port of Rotterdam

The Port of Rotterdam Authority's own statement said closure of the western Suurhoffbrug on the A15, in effect from 5pm on 16 September, is causing serious disruption for road access to the Maasvlakte port area.

ONS reports sharper producer cost pressure from oil and refined petroleum

The ONS reported that UK producer input prices rose 6.1% in the year to August 2026. Crude-oil input prices were 26.7% higher year on year, while output prices for coke and refined petroleum products rose 49.1%; these official producer-price measures indicate cost pressure but are not a direct forecast of any individual haulier’s delivery charge.
