DP World plans weekly China–Africa shipping link for late November

The planned China Africa Link will connect Chinese export ports with Dar es Salaam and Maputo, calling at Port Klang and Singapore.
DP World’s Shipping Solutions AMEA business has announced a weekly China Africa Link service, scheduled to start in late November 2026.
The planned rotation is Shanghai–Ningbo–Nansha–Port Klang Westport–Dar es Salaam–Maputo–Singapore–Shanghai. It adds a shipping option between Chinese export gateways and markets in Tanzania and Mozambique.
DP World says expected cargo includes machinery, electronics, construction materials and automotive components from China, alongside African agricultural products, minerals and other commodities. The announcement does not specify vessel capacity or transit times.
The service has been announced and is scheduled to begin later this month; the release does not establish that sailings are already operating.
