Berlin firefighters contain 800-square-metre pallet storage fire

Berlin’s fire service reports that wooden pallets burned across around 800 square metres in Neukölln. Crews prevented the fire spreading to a neighbouring warehouse.
Berlin’s fire service responded to a pallet storage fire on Ringbahnstraße in Neukölln on 30 October. Its incident report records burning wooden pallets over approximately 800 square metres beside an outdoor storage area and a warehouse.
Crews extinguished the fire and prevented it spreading to the warehouse. A drone supported assessment of the incident, while a wheel loader was requested to pull pallet stacks apart for follow-up extinguishing work.
The report does not establish the cause, the value of losses or any effect on a named pallet supplier’s operations.
