Peel Ports plans one million square feet of warehousing in Liverpool and Glasgow

Peel Ports has announced a phased warehouse investment, including a 900,000 sq ft Liverpool facility and a 100,000 sq ft development at Glasgow's King George V Dock.
Peel Ports announced the programme on 7 October, describing a multi-million-pound investment in additional Grade A warehousing. The initial phase focuses on Liverpool, combining the proposed new warehouse with upgrades to existing facilities.
The operator identifies fertiliser, chemicals, defence, manufacturing and bulk commodities as demand drivers. Glasgow's planned 100,000 sq ft facility adds to the network expansion. These are announced developments, not confirmed operational capacity; the company says further details will follow as projects progress.
