Jokey Poland builds 8,616-pallet automated high-bay warehouse

Kardex says it is building an automated high-bay warehouse for packaging manufacturer Jokey Poland with 8,616 EUR-pallet spaces and throughput of about 200 pallet movements an hour. The planned system will inspect pallet quality, weight and load contours, and handle wooden plus two plastic pallet types.
Kardex reports that its Polish subsidiary is acting as general contractor for a three-aisle high-bay warehouse at Jokey Poland in Kędzierzyn-Koźle. The 19-metre system is being built on a 2,484-square-metre footprint and is expected to complete by the end of 2026. It will store finished packaging on EUR-format wooden and two types of plastic pallets, with automatic checks for weight, pallet condition and load contours; loads that fail checks will be sent to a correction station. Kardex gives the planned maximum throughput as approximately 200 pallet movements per hour, around 100 inbound and 100 outbound. These are supplier-reported project specifications.
