AutoStore unveils mixed-bin picking workstation, with shipments planned for 2027

Swisslog says AutoStore’s new FlexBinsPort will handle three standard bin heights at one workstation. Launch is planned for Q4 2026, with first shipments in Q1 2027.
AutoStore’s Fall 2026 release includes FlexBinsPort, a picking workstation designed to present 220mm, 330mm and 425mm bins at the same port, according to integrator Swisslog’s 13 October announcement.
FlexBins already allows different bin heights in one storage grid. The new workstation extends that flexibility to picking, reducing the need to split mixed-bin orders across dedicated ports and consolidate them afterwards.
Swisslog reports a planned Q4 2026 launch and first shipments in Q1 2027. The workstation is an additional option rather than a replacement for CarouselPort. Bin mix, port numbers and downstream packing still require site-specific design and simulation. The announcement is not evidence of a completed customer installation.
