HOMAG opens €50 million-plus Polish woodworking machinery site

HOMAG has opened a consolidated production and engineering site in Środa Wielkopolska, with an automated high-bay warehouse and customer training centre. The investment exceeds €50 million.
HOMAG officially opened its new Polish facility on 8 October, according to a Dürr Group announcement published the following day. The site brings activities previously spread across nearby buildings into one location for around 650 employees.
The complex covers more than 50,000 square metres and includes a production hall, automated high-bay warehouse, offices and a customer centre. Its showroom and training facilities serve woodworking customers across Eastern Europe. This is a machinery production and engineering investment, not a new pallet manufacturing plant.
Dürr says the project forms part of HOMAG’s largely completed investment programme of more than €200 million. The Polish facility includes photovoltaics, heat recovery and building controls; the announcement gives no quantified energy saving.
