A National Highways update lists overnight verge-work lane closures on the M27 for 26–27 September and 3–4 October, plus a closure of the eastbound entry slip at junction 8 overnight on 28 September. Drivers joining at J8 will need to travel westbound, exit at J7 and return eastbound. Plans may change; check the live closure report before setting out.

National Highways published a 24 September update for its M27 junction 5–7 concrete-overlay scheme. It says verge-maintenance lane closures are planned overnight on 26 and 27 September, then 3 and 4 October. It also plans to close the M27 junction 8 eastbound entry slip overnight on 28 September: drivers joining there will need to travel westbound, exit at junction 7 and return eastbound. The page warns that closures can change at short notice; verify the live National Highways closure report before travel. This is a planned-works notice, not a report of a current incident.
