Brambles plans 20% expansion of US pallet repair capacity

CHEP’s parent outlined additional repair centres and benches at its AGM, while saying US capacity constraints remain on track to be resolved during the first half of FY27.
Brambles plans to expand its US pallet repair capacity by approximately 20% across FY27 and FY28, according to its 22 October AGM addresses. Six new repair service centres are planned for the second half of FY27, followed by two in FY28.
The company said underlying capacity was already 3% above April 2026 levels, supported by about 40 additional repair benches and other measures. However, inefficiencies at centres affected by subcontractor turnover had absorbed that benefit.
Brambles said no customer orders had been lost because of repair-capacity constraints since mid-June, but it still expected to resolve the constraints by the end of the first half of FY27. The planned expansion is not completed capacity.
