Northern Ireland’s Department for Infrastructure has scheduled repeated overnight closures on the Ballyrobin Road near Belfast International Airport from 5 October. HGVs will use a separate diversion to avoid a low bridge.

A £816,000 resurfacing scheme covers about two kilometres between the A26 Killead Roundabout and the A57 Airport Roundabout. The Department for Infrastructure says the road will close nightly from 7pm to 6am on 5–9, 12–16 and 19–23 October 2026. HGVs will be directed via the A57 Ballyrobin Road, A6 Antrim and Belfast Road, A6 Belmont Road and A57 Dublin Road to avoid the low bridge on Oldstone Road. The department advises road users to allow extra time and expects the work to be substantially complete by 30 October, weather permitting.
