NTRO releases electric truck fire safety toolkit for fleets and depots

NTRO has made an electric truck fire safety toolkit available for workshop, road and depot teams, with resources covering prevention, warning signs, evacuation and emergency response.
NTRO announced the Electric Truck Fire Safety Information Toolkit on 8 October. Funded through the Australian National Heavy Vehicle Regulator’s Heavy Vehicle Safety Initiative, it combines technical work from EV FireSafe with industry consultation and educational resources developed with Monash University’s National Road Safety Partnership Program. The package includes fact sheets, posters, presentations, facilitator materials and videos. It addresses workshop, road and depot situations, including recognising warning signs, evacuation and information for emergency services. Pallet transport operators adopting electric trucks can incorporate the material into fleet and depot training.
