The Pallet LOOP says Shropshire-based Lime Green, a manufacturer of lime mortars, plasters, renders and natural insulation, will now distribute its products on the scheme's green reusable pallets, which are collected nationally, repaired and reissued.
The Pallet LOOP has announced that Lime Green, a Shropshire manufacturer of lime mortars, plasters, renders and natural insulation systems founded in 2002, has become its latest manufacturing partner and will dispatch products on the scheme's green reusable pallets.
According to the scheme, customers can return those pallets through its nationwide collection service and receive a PayBack of between £2 and £4 for each eligible pallet returned. The LOOP states that more than three million of its pallets have been issued to date and that £1.5m has been paid back to the construction industry through the PayBack rewards.
For pallet manufacturers, repairers and reconditioners, the relevant point is specification and recovery rather than the product itself: purpose-built reusable pallets are designed to be recovered, inspected and repaired rather than broken up after one trip, which shifts demand from single-trip whitewood towards heavier specified pallets and towards repair capacity. The claims above are The Pallet LOOP's own.
